Gemini Major, Yanga Leave Da L.E.S After A Short Relationship
Shortly after leaving Cassper Nyovest’s Family Tree in March, Malawian rapper and record producer, Gemini Major has parted ways with Da L.E.S.
The “Ragga Ragga” crooner parted ways with Cassper to join forces with Da L.E.S and to focus his energy on starting his own label. He therefore had to move on after achieving his objectives for joining forces with Da L.E.S.
However, Da L.E.S insists there is no beef, just business:
There is no beef or big issue. I wish Gemini only the best with the future
Just days after releasing his mixtape titled “Neighbourhood Genius”, Yanga has also parted ways with Da L.E.S.:
We have chosen to separate from working with the guys based on the fact that our whole objective with regards to what they were doing in their projects has been met. Partnering with them was to make sure that they can operate fully independently
The American star has helped to groom the artists to enable them to stand on their own. Both Gemini Major and Yanga have succeeded in releasing their music independently under their respective record labels Rudebuoy Major and Young Legend Music, respectively. Gemini Major said:
I am grateful for the time we spent together and send Da L.E.S my good wishes”
As part of his statement, he said:
Now it’s time to focus on other things and grow as an artist and brand
