TV personality and actress Nomzamo Mbatha alongside Mmabatho Montsho are set for the world premiere of popular Nigerian director Akin Omotoso’s new film this weekend.

The “tone poem” film titled “A Hotel Called Memory”, is about the story of a woman who separates from her husband in Lagos‚ Nigeria and then relocates to Zanzibar in search of peace, hoping to forget her ugly past. Nomzamo and Mmabatho both play major roles in the film. The film was filmed in Lagos‚ Zanzibar and Cape Town respectively.

“A Hotel Called Memory”, for the first time, will screen at the 6th Annual Blackstar Film Festival in Philadelphia‚ America this weekend alongside 59 other films. Projects on political and social uprisings around the world will also be featured at the event.
