With rapper Kendrick Lamar leading the pack, MTV announced the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards nomination via Instagram Live on Tuesday, July 25. Kendrick Lamar got eight nominations.

With five nominations each, Katy Perry and The Weeknd are the second most nominated on the list.

The 2017 MTV Video Music Awards will air from Los Angeles on MTV on Sunday, August 27, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
